When you say New York - most people think of the big apple, nickname for the legendary city New York. Strange nickname, but I think I found the answer on our recent trip to the Empire State. NY State does actually have big apples! New York is the second-largest apple producing state in the country. Only Washington State produces more.
NY State brings so much more than an unrivalled metropolis. New York has one of the most beautiful fall seasons in the USA, with deciduous trees turning vibrant reds, oranges and yellows. The change in tree colour can actually be seen from outer space! If you haven't had a chance, go to New York State and explore the mountain lakes, rich vegetation, quant towns and great people.
